Mom's Apple Crisp

Hi.....I have enjoyed "Foof Love" for a few months now, this is my first posting! I was given two big bags of apples, so here's an excellent recipe for apple crisp. I have made appleasause, dried apples and even apple pie filling! Anyone have other good tried and true recipes or ideas to do with the rest of these apples I have sitting in my kitchen??

Mom's Apple Crisp

4-6 apples
8 graham crackers (crumbs)
3/4 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. flour
1/2 C. oats
1 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/2 C. butter or margarine (melted)

Peel and slice apples. Place in 8x8, or pie dish. Mix remaining ingredients to make the topping. I do this in my quisanart (sp?). Dump over top of apples and MICROWAVE for 12-15 minutes. You could bake it, but I think it turns out great in the microwave and it's faster!

That sounds really good. I haven't heard of graham crackers for the topping! I'll have to try it.

I've tried this recipe twice and last night I used cinnamon graham crackers and pumpkin pie spice instead of nutmeg and I liked it even more! This a GREAT recipe! Thanks for sharing it!
